Lynn Gould - biography

I studied art at Wimbledon School of Art, graduating with a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art in 1986.

After graduating I was a full time artist and private art tutor. I painted numerous and varied commissions including: animal portraits, still life, colourist work, landscapes and produced illustrations for two canine books. I have showed my paintings in several group exhibitions in Sussex and sold a variety of work.

I have always been passionate about birds and bird watching, and from a very early age I can remember sitting in the garden sketching the sparrows.

I am a keen photographer selling numerous prints, and use a variety of media to explore the colour and character of the birds, animals and landscapes.

Recent redundancy (August 2011) has given me this exciting opportunity to return being a full time artist and am happy to undertake commissions.

I am a qualified youth worker and until recently was a lecturer in a local school working with 6th form students in Creative Media and Art Award. (I have been enhanced police checked.)

I have returned to one to one and small group private art tuition to all ages, within the Lewes, East Sussex area, and am registered as an Art Award centre offering the Art award at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.

If you are between 11 and 25 years of age and would like more information about the award visit their web site, http://www.artsaward.org.uk.
